Danziger, Esq.
Charles
T. Danziger graduated from Yale University, Magna Cum Laude, and the
New York University School of Law, where he was an editor of The Journal
of International Law and Politics. Mr. Danziger was formerly associted
with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in New York; Nagashima & Ohno in
Tokyo, one of Japan's leading law firms; and with The Museum of Modern
Art, where he served as Assistant General Counsel. Mr. Danziger was a
Board Member and Secretary of the New York State Association of Museums
and served on the New York City Bar Association Committee on Art Law.
He is fluent in Japanese, German and French.
The principal practice areas of his firm, Danziger & Danziger, consist of general corporate law, art law, intellectual property and real estate matters. The clients of the Firm include many U.S. and foreign individuals, museums, financial institutions and public and private commercial entities. A particular area of concentration is the representation of art-related clients in their various business and legal activities. Recent projects have included the establishment of a branch of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts in Nagoya, Japan; assisting The Whitney Museum of American Art with corporate sponsorships and foreign exhibitions; advising in the establishment of The Isamu Noguchi Foundation in Japan; representation of the owners of major art collections in exhibiting their works in various countries, and arranging for financings in connection with such collections; and advising artists and dealers on issues of copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights.
